The T/A 73 is a versatile freeblowing, rear or side mount evaporator that can be used as a tie-in with OEM components, or as part of a complete Trans/Air system.  The T/A 73 is engineered to provide high performance, ease of installation, reliable operation and maximum serviceability.  All Trans/Air components are backed with a full 24 month warranty and worldwide network of authorized service points.

Application
The T/A 73 is conservatively rated at 53,000 BTU/H and is engineered for heavy-duty service in vehicles up to 24' in length.  A high performance "super" system is available by installing a complete Trans/Air T/A 73 system, which operates independently of the vehicles OEM air conditioner.  The T/A 73 can be combined with other Trans/Air evaporators or used in tandem for larger body applications up to 40' in length.  With Trans/Air's Total Systems Approach, the T/A 73 evaporator can be used in conjunction with a wide variety of condenser/compressor options for a tailored system recommendation.

The cover is made of a durable ABS plastic in neutral colors to blend well with all coach interiors.  The unit is constructed with a corrosion resistant galvanized steel enclosure, which is interconnected with all components, resulting in increased structural strength and reduced air leakage.  A uniquely designed drain pan incorporates a sump and dual drains to prevent splashing and promote condensate removal.  High-efficiency blowers coupled with custom designed louvers results in maximized air flow.  The coil is a state-of-the-art design with enhanced tubing and fins.  The stainless steel expansion valve is rated at 4 tons and is externally equalized thermostat type with removal strainer and o-ring connections.

Dual blower assemblies come equipped with larger blower wheels for greater CFM and motors utilize custom wound armatures for lower amperage draw and greater efficiency.  Blower motors have permanent magnets and sealed bearings for longer life and fewer maintenance requirements.

Trans/Air controls provide precise regulation of airflow and temperature.  All wiring harnesses include coded wiring and are properly gauged for the system amperage load to minimize voltage drop and increase efficiency.  High and low pressure switches and a freeze stat are used to protect the integrity of the system.
