Skirt Mounted Condenser model specifications:

SMC / SC CONDENSERS

Trans/Air SMC and SC skirt mounted condensers provide a wide selection of sizes and capabilities for all body styles and evaporator/ compressor combinations.  The lightweight, versatile condenser system provides ease of installation, economical operation and maximum serviceability.  All Trans/Air components are backed with a full 24 month warranty and worldwide network of authorized service points.

Application
The SMC/ SC condensers are engineered for vehicles ranging in size from van conversions to 40 ft. transit vehicles.  Models SMC2C (2 fan short) and SMC3L (3 fan long) are for use in standard skirt applications.  Model SC-3 (which replaces the 3 fan high short) is applicable where skirt space is limited and capacity requirements are high.  Model SC-4 (which replaces the 4 fan high long) is for demanding single condenser applications.  Models SMC2S Stacked and SMC3L Stacked are specifically engineered for vehicles with limited longitudinal skirt space, requiring high capacity and dual condenser configurations.

Condensers are made of light-weight aluminum for strength and corrosion resistance.  High efficiency over sized coils are standard for maximum capacity.  Slant/mounted coils with nonrestricting grills are employed for better air flow and heat dissipation.

10 in. or 14 in. flush mount fans are employed in a space saving design which insures compatibility with available skirt-to-frame-rail mounting space on all standard body styles.  Fan motors have permanent magnets and sealed bearings for high reliability and long life.  The flush mount design provides for optimum accessability for maintenance.

30 in.3 filter/drier is properly sized for system protection.

The sight glass is conveniently located at the front of the condenser, isolated from fan blades for safety and ease of inspection.
