Materials Manager

 This position oversees activities of a staff of three comprising the Purchasing Department and Engineering Release Coordinator who procure materials, equipment, and services, monitor and maintain inventories of raw materials used in production assembly and service part sales, and integrate engineered product documentation into the rest of the organization

Description:

 Responsibilities include:

  • Insuring contracts with suppliers are consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate policies and procedures for the assigned functions.
  • Participating in the management team’s Strategic Planning Process.
  • Meeting fluctuating seasonal demand by flexing inventory levels supplied through a global supply chain that harmonizes with cash-flow targets.
  • Executing Buy America financial calculations and issuing accurate, auditable certifications.
  • Operating within a wide array of government regulations.
  • Standard Cost forecasting.

Qualifications:

 Position Requires:

  • Minimum of 8 or more years manufacturing purchasing management experience in a multi-site environment operating under ISO Quality architecture.
  • Excellent computer skills including integrated manufacturing software systems and a thorough understanding how all modules link and interact across the enterprise.
  • College degree with strong preference for a sciences-oriented program.  Additional inventory and/or procurement professional certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to solve complex supply chain issues and effectively communicate solutions to all stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply complex government regulations, specifically:

o   Importing (U.S. Customs documents, HTS, record keeping, tariffs and duties, brokerage POA, import bonding)

o   Transportation (FMVSS302, Buy America, Refrigerant Handling)

o   Department of Defense FAR flow-downs

Marketing Manager

 Trans Air has an opening for a Marketing Manager at the Dallastown, PA facility. 

Description:

       -Formulate and manage a comprehensive company marketing plan

 

-Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the company’s activities.

 

-Prepare and deliver promotional presentations and materials.

 

-Compose and distribute company newsletters and literature.

 

-Coordinate Trade Show scheduling, preparation, and materials.

 

-Assist and create Executive and Sales PowerPoint presentations.

 

-Create a Budget and manage print advertising

Qualifications:

 

  • Strong communication and organization skills.  A high level of attention to detail.  Proficient use of computers.  Competency in Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Prior Marketing experience a plus.

 Trans/Air has a position open in the warehouse department at the Dallastown, PA facility. This person will work as part of the warehouse team to do a variety of warehousing tasks. 

Description:

 The candidate must be able to handle all aspects of warehousing including:

·       Communicating with purchasing, customer service and freight companies

·       Driving forklift

·       Lifting 40 lbs up to 20 times/day

·       Palletizing material for shipment

·       Loading and unloading trucks

·       Completing documentation

·       Computer transactions

 Trans/Air has an opening for a Production Assembler at the Dallastown, PA facility. This person will work as part of the production team to assemble climate control components for our clients. 

Description:

 The candidate must be able to:

·       Successfully work in a team atmosphere

·       Use hand tools and power tools

·       Follow written procedures

·       Read engineering drawings

·       Lift 20 lbs up to 20 times/day

Field Service Tech

 

 

Description:

 Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repairs bus air conditioning systems. Primary area will be the northeast, with occasional travel to other areas of the US & Canada. Train customers on product, troubleshooting and maintenance, as well as some theory. Develop reports in keeping with company reporting guidelines. Assist in office-based duties when not required to be in the field. Answering tech calls when available. Travel required.

Qualifications:

 Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications as well as identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Experience in the repair& troubleshooting of automotive air conditioning equipment. Certification to handle and purchase R134a refrigerant. Communication skills to effectively communicate with end users, service centers, dealers and OEMs. Proven analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot, make decisions, and resolve conflicts between service centers and end users. Good driving record. Computer literacy, esp. with MS Office.
