Technical Services Manager

 Manages all technical service functions. Includes warranty, remote installation operations, service parts sales, and field service through subordinate managers.

Description:

 Develops warranty and administrative procedures.

Responsible for service bulletins.

NHTSA filings and improvement programs.

Assumes responsibility for all aspect of remote installation operations management including profitability, installation scheduling, physical plant and remote inventory management.

Develops pricing, forecasts, sales and marketing programs, and website development for service parts.

Coordinates with field sales to prioritize and schedule installation and service activities as requested by customers.

Uses in depth technical knowledge to assist in resolution of service issues.

Assumes responsibility for safety, quality, staffing, training, and makes budget and capital expenditure for all departments.

Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required

Two to four year college degree preferred

At least 3-5 years of automotive parts management experience

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to be analytical, problem solve, and multi-task

Self-motivated, enthusiastic presence in a team environment

Strong written, communication and computer skills

Some travel required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Buyer

 The Buyer purchases goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

Description:

 · The Buyer will purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets compared to initial or annually standards. They will support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.

 · Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects/activities and monitor and provide advice on any issues which present risk/opportunity to the organization.

 · Monitor market trends, provide department analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities through reports and updates as and when required.

 · Will closely work with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.  Improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings by utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.

 · Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communication

 · Buyer will assist in research for new components and suppliers and maintain data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.

Qualifications:

 The position requires a min. of 3 yrs. of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a Bachelor’s degree; have excellent computer skills and a clear understanding of MRP systems. 

 Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook

APICS or NAPM certification is a plus.

 Trans/Air has an opening for a Production Assembler at the Dallastown, PA facility. This person will work as part of the production team to assemble climate control components for our clients. 

 

Full and Part Time positions available starting at $15.00/hr.

Description:

 The candidate must be able to:

·       Successfully work in a team atmosphere

·       Use hand tools and power tools

·       Follow written procedures

·       Read engineering drawings

·       Lift 20 lbs up to 20 times/day

Warehouse Worker

 Trans/Air has a position open in the warehouse department at the Dallastown, PA facility. This person will work as part of the warehouse team to do a variety of warehousing tasks. 

Description:

 The candidate must be able to handle all aspects of warehousing including:

·       Communicating with purchasing, customer service and freight companies

·       Driving forklift

·       Lifting 40 lbs up to 20 times/day

·       Palletizing material for shipment

·       Loading and unloading trucks

·       Completing documentation

·       Computer transactions
